The third-place match at the FIFA World Cup is a relatively pointless one, but it’s also one that can be exciting because of exactly that.

Croatia and Morocco know they will have nothing to lose Saturday in Qatar. Therefore will look to play with vigor and spunk as they take the field one more time hoping to earn a just reward for a fabulous tournament by both.

Croatia and Morocco faced each other in the opening round of the group stage. Morocco ended their 2022 World Cup campaign with a defeat at the hands of France after 2-0 defeat. On the other hand, the resilient Croatians could go past Argentina in a 3-0 thrashing. Will reds make history yet by finishing third or it will be Croatia that goes all the way to bag a bronze standing?

Morocco can be secure in the knowledge that they have been one of the highlights of the tournament. One more game for a squad full of battered and bruised players does seem cruel now though.

Croatia

Croatia started positively in their defeat to Argentina but after first goal something was change. They never really looked like they would get back into the game. baring the game against Canada, scoring goals was a big issue for Croatia at this World Cup and they really seem to lack and out and out striker. Something they will be looking to address before their big Nations League game.

Morocco

Morocco have been the surprise package of the 2022 World Cup. Becoming the first-ever African country to make it through to the Semi-Finals. Similarly to Croatia, the North Africans seemed to lack a real goal threat in the final third but their defence. Was really impressive from day one and even so against France who had to work hard for their 2-goals in the Semi-Final.
